Welcome to the Blacksburg Southern Mountain Square Dance, sponsored since 1981 by the Old-time Music and Dance Group of Blacksburg, presenting the finest square dance callers and old-time bands to bring you the oldest and funnest dance in Virginia! Dances are held in Blacksburg, Virginia at the locations shown below. Partners and square dance experience are not necessary- the caller teaches every dance! Please wear shoes that won't mar the floor.

January 13 is a special Sunday evening dance- $10 suggested donation- all proceeds to benefit the new dance floor at the Blacksburg YMCA. Dance time is 6 to 9 PM. There's a free flatfoot dancing lesson from 5 to 6 PM. A silent auction is also planned. Auction donations welcome.
